WELCOME
|
Welcome to the
Fourteenth Avenue Missionary Baptist
Church website. Certainly, we thank God
for inspiring you to pay us a visit.
"Fourteenth Avenue" is a wonderful
congregation which indeed has a rich
history having been birthed during the
time of the Great Depression.
We have been
blessed by God with the facilities and
numerous ministries which allow us to
enhance the lives of the people and
their families.
As you navigate
through the various pages of our
website, it is our prayer that you will
find something that will touch your
heart and especially encourage you to
make the effort to pay us a visit.
Our efforts are
to equip and empower the people of God
through awareness, Christian education,
ministry, and spreading the news of the
Gospel to edify the kingdom of God.
Our hope is to
impact the world with the message of
Jesus Christ.
|
OUR MISSION |
Our
mission is to become a
Purposeful, Passionate, Powerful church;
one that is led by the Spirit of God to
walk together with all mankind in
Christian love.
|
OUR HOPE FOR TOMORROW in this
world is... |
Through EVANGELISM by the
sharing of the Gospel of Jesus Christ
for the saving of men’s souls and
for the care of the souls who have the
gospel.
“And He
said unto them, Go ye into all the
world, and preach the gospel to every
creature. He that believeth and is
baptized shall be saved; but he that
believeth not shall be damned.”
Mark 15:15 – 16
Through DISCIPLESHIP in the
study of the word of God that we may
grow in Christ and be equipped by the
Holy Spirit, to first within ourselves,
become more Christ like and overcome the
pressures and trials of this life. And,
to disciple others to walk in the ways
of Jesus Christ according to Scripture;
always ready to give a testimony for the
reason of the hope that lies
within. I Peter
3:15.
